In the Emmi Pikler approach, the suitability of toys depends less on a child’s age and more on their cognitive abilities and movements. This toy set is appropriate from the moment a child begins observing their hands until they start rolling onto their side.
These toys can also retain their significance in a child’s play later on, especially if they have become meaningful and familiar. However, as the child grows and develops, it is important to enrich the environment with new objects that correspond to their current developmental stage and support further development of play. If you need additional information about play development and setting up a play environment, specialists from the association can provide consultations — please contact us at parcienpilnubernibu@gmail.com.
The set includes:
2 wooden rings
2 cotton cloths, 35 cm × 35 cm
Wooden rattle
Cotton triangle
A card with images showing ideas for gradually setting up the environment
How to purchase?
Write to us and we will prepare an invoice.
After payment is received, we will ship the set (shipments are made only on Tuesdays).

Richly illustrated with insightful photos by Marian Reismann, this informative booklet gives a detailed description of how the play activity of infants develops during the first year of their life, from the first signs of ‘play’ to more complicated schemas like fitting objects into one another or arranging things in groups. As Éva Kálló liked to point out: there is a lot more to the development of play as meets the eye at first glance. If left to their own devices, children will typically go through a whole series of less known phases in the development of their play, which are of great importance nonetheless. The authors shed light on how self-initiated play not only gives pleasure and a sense of achievement to both the child and his/her carer, but may well contribute to the development of their personality as well. In addition, there is detailed advice on how to organise a small child’s play space and what kind of toys to offer them if we are to promote independent play.
